Hello
My name is Bindy and I'm an illustrator based in Brisbane, Australia. I live with my husband, two kids and two pugaliers (Ziggy and Moose).
After initially completing a degree in environmental science, I retrained as a graphic/motion designer before becoming an illustrator. I’m fascinated by the natural world, and since becoming a parent, I’ve grown especially interested in how children connect with and learn from their local environment. This curiosity flows directly into my work. I create bright, textured, digital illustrations with quirky details that invite children to look closer, ask questions, and engage with the natural world.
I’m thrilled that my debut picture book, Welcome to Whalebone Mansion, published by Charlesbridge, was released in 2025.
I have worked with Charlesbridge, Lerner, Igloo Books, Sourcebooks, Oxford University Press and Djeco Toys.
